The List Builder custom account list can be used as a filter on a Report. Please note that the custom contact list doesn't have this feature. When you use the custom account list as a filter on the report, the report will show only the data that matches the custom account list. For example, you pull out the Activity report and filter the data by one of custom lists, the report will show only the activities from the accounts that are in the custom list.

To use the custom account list as a filter on the report, please follow the below steps:
1. If you already created a custom list, please navigate to Reports. If you haven't created a custom account list, please view this article to create a custom account list.
2. Click on the report that you wish to use with the custom account list.
3. On the report, click the Filters tab and Filter Using Custom Account List. Click on the drop down list to select one of the existed custom account lists.
Note: If you see the message of "You don't have any Account lists defined. Click here to create a new list." as show in the below screen shot, this mean you don't have an existed custom account list. Please view this article to create a custom account list.
4. Click the Options tab and set up the options such as hierarchy and time frame.
5. Click Run button to run the report.
