Monarch - Configuring Gmail through Outlook

Do you need to send emails to advertisers from Monarch and you use Gmail as your email service provider.

Since Gmail is web-based it will not open up as your default email application in Windows when sending emails from Monarch.

To work around this, you may be able to set up your Gmail account through Outlook by following the steps below. 

NOTE: This process is outside the "Matrix" purview and is our recommendation to best set up your Outlook instance. However, you may have to work with your internal IT department to ensure proper configuration and/or receive approval to utilize. 

1. Open Windows Mail App. You can go there typing ‘Mail’ on your Search Bar.

 

2. Click on ‘+ Add account’ button.

3. Select Google in the options list.

4. Type your Gmail credentials.

5. Allow all permissions.

6. Set your preferred name. (This is the name your contacts will see).

 

7. After setting up your email successfully, go again to your search bar and type ‘Default Apps’.

8. Type ‘Mail’ in the search bar and then open your Mail Settings.

9. Change all the options you have to Mail App as default.
